Steve Boseley's Biography

Horror author Steve Boseley holding a copy of his short story collection A Sinister Six

Steve writes dark fiction and horror from his home in Nottingham, UK, where he lives with his wife, his two grown-up children having moved away to make a life elsewhere in the country.

Steve began his writing journey with short horror stories, several of which were published in various online magazines, and as podcasts!  These stories are now collected in his books, A Sinister Six, and Strange Weather We're Having.

Steve was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2020 but continued to work with children and families and later, with disabled people, until Covid put a stop to most things. Steve retired on ill health grounds during this period which provided him with more time to get back to writing.

Steve enjoys watching and reading horror of all kinds, but particularly zombie fiction. It is Steve's wish that when he finally passes away, he comes back as a zombie. A good zombie.

When it comes to writing, Steve enjoys writing about extraordinary things happening to ordinary people. If you're looking for vampires, werewolves and other monsters, you are probably in the wrong place here. Real life can be scary enough as it is!

When he is not writing, Steve enjoys watching sports, especially American football, which he played for many years until his diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.

Steve has often talked about his experiences with disability which he records in his blog. The blog also contains Steve current work in progress, along with his favourite horror films and series that he is currently watching.
