ABOUT STEVE
I've been writing since my late teens, but after losing the way when children and life came along, I picked writing up again seriously, in 2011.
After several false starts, I was published in several online horror webzines, including Microhorror, Schlock! Horror, and several others, which was a blast!
I have had work published by Alfie Dog fiction and those stories will be appearing in a later collection.
I have also had stories included in the anthologies The Asylum Within, and the Halloween edition of Dead but Dreaming.
Most recently, I was a guest author for the short story collection Deathly Musings.
My next goal was to self-publish my first book, which I succeeded in doing, when Die, Blossom, Bloom was published in May of 2016. At the beginning of 2017, I published A Sinister Six, which is a collection of darkly disturbing stories, think Twilight Zone vs Tales of the Unexpected.
I was born and raised in Nottingham, UK, in 1971, which where I live now, with my wife, two children, two cats and a rabbit.
My first job was in a factory that made car parts, which was where I stayed for two years until I realised that I wasn't cut out for factory work. I met my wife of almost twenty five years there, so it was a very positive experience!
As a very active sportsman, I went back to university to study Sport Science (anatomy and physiology) and expected to move into a career in sports.
Instead, I worked with children and young people for several years, before being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of just 30. I worked for a local charity, supporting and empowering disabled people until my health made that more difficult. Writing resurfaced following my diagnosis, offering endless imaginary worlds to escape in to.
